Bio
“A lifelong creative returning to the quiet beauty of drawing and painting.”
From an early age, I was drawn to image creation — to the way artists could conjure life, light, and form from a blank surface. Drawing and painting fascinated me not only as means of representation, but as ways of seeing: understanding how light defines shape, how shadow suggests depth, and how two dimensions can hold the illusion of three.
Photography soon joined painting as a lifelong companion. From my first self-processed black-and-white prints to the sophistication of contemporary digital techniques, I’ve always been compelled to capture the world through the lens — exploring texture, atmosphere, and the quiet narratives of everyday life.
I trained initially at the University of Reading in the United Kingdom, where I earned a BA (Hons) in Typography & Graphic Communication. This instilled a deep respect for visual structure, clarity, and meaning — principles that continue to inform my artistic practice. More recently I have completed a Graduate Diploma in Psychology at the University of Sydney, an experience that expanded my understanding of perception, behaviour, and the human experience — insights that naturally find expression and continue to inform both my teaching and creative work.
Over the course of my career, I have established and directed creative studios in London, Luxembourg, Málaga, Berlin, and Sydney, and held senior roles in leading design practices and advertising agencies. A true digital dinosaur, I was appointed Creative Director for Europe’s first online service, where I helped pioneer the intersection of design and emerging digital technology at a pivotal moment in visual communication.
In parallel, I’ve taught design at universities and art schools in Sydney and southern Spain, focusing on sustainable design thinking, human-centred design, and the development of successful creative practice.
Today, with more time to devote to personal projects, I have returned full circle to my first love — painting and drawing. This renewed focus reconnects me with the timeless pleasures of observation and expression: translating what I see and feel into line, tone, and colour.
I live a creative and balanced life with my family who provide constant inspiration, perspective, and humour.
